PR Basics for Creatives and Entrepreneurs

put your best foot forward in the media and get the word out there
communicate your message with clarity, authenticity and integrity

Using your own projects, you will learn how to:

  • identify and build bridges to your key target markets
  • distil your key messages
  • devise a media strategy
  • write effective media releases
  • know who to target in the media
  • how to prepare for an interview
  • how to steer the interview to get your message across

You will leave with a plan of action and a useful promotional tool-kit for your everyday business development.

TJC founder Trudy Johnston is an experienced trainer and lecturer in the principles of publicity and marketing. She is a regular presenter for the Australian Business Arts Foundation and is often a guest lecturer at industry events. She has previously taught at Masters level at the College of Fine Arts (COFA) at UNSW (2002-05).
